Formed by the intersection of the horizon line (Ascendant-Descendant axis) and the meridian line (Midheaven-IC/Nadir axis), each quadrant contains three sequential houses and represents a distinct phase of human growth and life focus.
The Four Western/Hellenistic Chart Quadrants
First Quadrant (Houses 1, 2, and 3): Focuses on personal identity, self-awareness, and the development of the individual ego and physical foundation.
Second Quadrant (Houses 4, 5, and 6): Focuses on personal security, emotional roots, creative self-expression, and practical daily life routines.
